Task //

Create an experiential campaign for Vans that revitalizes its "cool factor" and authenticity by reconnecting with its roots and heritage, while engaging a diverse, global audience of young skaters and creatives through unique events and activations.

Insight //

After high school, many young people lose access to the sense of community and belonging that comes with being part of a team, and there aren't many third spaces where they can rediscover that connection.


IDEA:

Introducing the Vans Summer League, where young skaters and creatives rep Vans with custom jerseys in a one-of-a-kind league. Featuring skateboarding, graffiti battles, and BMX challenges, this summer-long event blends action sports, art, and music in a competitive, team-driven experience—culminating in a championship event that celebrates community, culture, and creativity."
